The City of Hillsboro Public Works, Water, and Parks & Recreation Department employees work around the clock all year to maintain our streets, utilities, and other essential infrastructure and services. Now, it’s your turn to get a first-hand view of the heavy-duty equipment that keeps the City running.
The City of Hillsboro’s 8th annual Public Works Day on Saturday, May 18, from 8 am to 1:00 pm on the Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza will feature traffic signal, LED streetlights, and meter displays, and City of Hillsboro employees from Public Works, Water, and Parks & Recreation departments will explain how they use the equipment to keep the City moving throughout the year.
Adults and children can climb up into the seat of a front end loader, hydro excavator, sanitary sewer and stormwater inspection van, meter truck, leak detection truck, ventrac mower, and tractor. See you there!
The City of Hillsboro Public Works Day is held in conjunction with the Downtown Hillsboro Farmers’ Market.
