What is your favorite memory of Hillsboro Farmers’ Market?

One of my earliest memories is when we were one of the first vendors in the early 90s and we use to pick cherries at the cherry orchard early morning in ice water and it was definitely one of my favorite memories.

What were the markets like when you first started shopping with us?

Back when we first started, the market had an entirely different set up than it did today. Most of the stalls were facing the sideway rather than the street like they do now. Another one would be how it wasn’t a business back then.

What drew you to the markets?

The concept of wholesaling was something new for us and it was something we also wanted to try. Another reason why we started was because of the customers and the interactions that we’re able to do with them as well as to meet new people years after years.
