Seven years ago Daniel and Julie closed a deal on 100 acres of farmland in Banks which is bisected by the Banks-Vernonia State Trail. One unique aspect of this farm is the adaptation on a low/no-till pasture agriculture which allows the land to heal properly after years of the land being rented for cow growing. Once they were allowed to start active farm work in the fall, they began bringing in animals along with their two dogs, Romulus and Remus. With animals starting to come in, Wingham Farms began to take shape.
For Wingham Farms their main focus is to provide high quality, environmentally sustainable and ethically raised food for themselves as well as the public. Along with high quality products, Wingham Farms also aims to educate the public on where their food comes from by inviting consumers to take a look at their animals in their natural habitat on the fields of the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, which shows all of their critters roaming freely.
Wingham Farms proudly holds themselves to a high standard, with five qualities they aim to achieve with all of their products: nutrition, taste, texture, environment and ethics. From the upbringing of the animals to the treatment of the earth, Wingham never misses a detail. Wingham Farms takes great pride in their products and is always excited to bring their wide range of nutritional products to market!
Wingham Farms has a wide range of items that’ll be available at the market including eggs, milk and meat. Their meat includes beef, pork, chicken and duck which have all been raised on pastures which allows the meat to be more flavorful. Along with meat, eggs can be purchased and customers can schedule a pick up for fresh milk at the market.
