Be a Market Volunteer

Hillsboro Farmers’ Markets depends on great volunteers to help make our markets a success! We have opportunities available on both Saturday (Downtown Hillsboro) and Sunday (Orenco Station) markets. Volunteers can earn a market token for volunteering for shifts of 3 hours or more.

Information Booth

Do you love the market?! Help us provide valuable interaction and information to market customers at our information booth. Information Booth support may include greeting guests, handing out materials, assisting with giveaways, customer counts, and general staff help.

Vendor Check In/Out

Want a quick and easy job that supports the market and its vendors?! Assisting with vendor check in/out is for you. Vendor Support will include being placed at an entrance point with a checklist of vendors and greet them as they arrive.

Market Sprouts

Help kids engage with local farmers and get to know where their food comes from! Weekly activities will be provided free of charge for all kids attending the market. Market Sprouts support will include interacting with kids and families, running educational activities, and tracking participation.

Event Volunteer

Help our market events be successful! Choose an individual event or help all season, it’s up to you. Event support may include assisting with set-up, greeting groups as they arrive, taking pictures, running activities, handing out samples, and more!

Here’s how to get started!

Step 2) Sign up for weekly volunteer e-mails highlighting available opportunities.

Step 3) Join us for one of our upcoming volunteer orientations – April 12th, May 10th, June 14th (details coming soon).
